Paul and performance-partner Maya Kuper perform (at 9 p.m.) a multimedia version of Paul’s coauthored (with Eileen Maksym) short story “This Too Too Solid Flesh” from Unforgettable.
Say the event’s organizers: “A nexus in the space-time continuum will open within the Bottom Lounge, bringing together artists & performers from across space & time. Guests dressed in costume! Musicians & DJs playing songs from countless eras! And dozens of performers sharing in the spirit of imagination and becoming historical figures in time!
Suggested Donation of $20; all proceeds go to the FIGMENT Project, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, in order to fund FIGMENT Chicago, a free, interactive art experience taking place at Jefferson Memorial Park in August. Featuring dozens of artists installations and a wide variety of performance art, the Northwest Side Chicago park will be transformed into a large-scale collaborative artwork showcase. FIGMENT 2013 at Chicago’s Garfield Park Conservatory had 52 art projects and installations, over 100 participating artists, 125 volunteers and thousands of attendees.
