World Premiere – “Unplugged”: A Survivor’s Story in Scenes & Songs @ Greenhouse Theater Center
Aug 18 @ 7:00 pm – 9:15 pm

After his 10-month, surgery-laden “hospital-&-then-home-healing hiatus,” Paul—joined by performance-partner Maya Kuper and their Dayna Clay Band (Paul, Maya, Mike Holden & Justin Marsh)—finally returns to the Big Stage, presenting a full-on, two-act, 100-minute (with Intermission) live version (adapted by him & Maya) of his acclaimed 2002 novel as part of the Greenhouse’s popular Trellis Series. A dozen scenes by Paul alternate with a dozen original songs by Paul & Maya to tell the story of rocker Dayna Clay’s climb out of darkness and into discovery. An earlier stage version earned a Chicago Reader Critic’s Choice. Local theater- and indie-film-company folks will be there to check out the material, so, please: attend, and be loudly enthusiastic!
